CAIR denies mosque attendance It remains a mystery: Where did the alleged Times Square terrorist – a Muslim man with an apparent zeal for Islam – go to mosque? The Council on American-Islamic Relations says it surveyed the mosques in suspect Faisal Shahzad's home state of Connecticut and concluded Shahzad did not worship at any of them and therefore was not religious. "I've asked everyone, 'Have you seen this person, have you heard of this person?'" said Mongi Dhaouadi, spokesman for CAIR's Connecticut chapter. "And the answer is 'no.'" WND, however, has learned that federal agents investigating the alleged car bomber paid a visit to a radical mosque in Bridgeport, Conn., with ties to terrorism. Shahzad has lived in the Bridgeport area for nearly a decade. - - - -

Member of Ahmed Bedier's Muslim Brotherhood group assaults Tom Trento, Florida Security Council, Watch the video of the actual assault here: (Tallahassee, FL) Investigative journalist and Chairman of Americans Against Hate Joe Kaufman and Florida Security Council cameraman J. Mark Campbell were assaulted, on Thursday March 11, by a member of United Voices for America (UVA), a Florida Muslim lobby group. UVA was in Tallahassee for its second annual event, entitled Muslim Capitol Day. According to the lieutenant in charge of the Capitol Police, the perpetrator of the attacks, Profesor Bassem Alhalabi, was charged with simple battery for each incident. The two assaults happened on two separate occasions, both on the same day. Alhalabi is a professor at Florida Atlantic University (FAU), a director and co-founder of the Islamic Center of Boca Raton (ICBR), and a former associate of convicted terrorist Sami al-Arian. In June 2003, Alhalabi was found guilty of illegally shipping a $13,000 military-grade thermal imaging device to Syria. United Voices for America (UVA) is headed by Ahmed Bedier, the former Executive Director of CAIR-Tampa and the former unofficial spokesman for Sami al-Arian. Bedier was present, during the attack on Campbell. In May 2007, Rafiq Sabir, a member of Alhalabis Islamic center was convicted of material support for al-Qaeda. A more detailed investigation of these assaults and who the real Professor Alhalabi is will follow shortly. Posted: March 5, 2010 Desperate, CAIR Posted: February 21, 2010 By Art Moore On the heels of a major setback in federal court, the Council on American-Islamic Relations is "throwing a Hail Mary pass" to keep its "Muslim Mafia" lawsuit alive by issuing subpoenas to a prominent counter-terror expert, says a lawyer for the two men who probed the Muslim group's terror ties in a sting operation. "The timing of their request is a sign of desperation," said Daniel Horowitz, representing former Special Agent P. David Gaubatz and his son Chris, who recovered thousands of pages of incriminating CAIR documents meant for a shredder while posing as a Muslim intern. - - - - By The Daily Caller 02/20/10 at 1:48 pm “In court, the judge made vague references to the government’s voluminous motion to deport him, including alleged involvement with Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood. The judge concluded Sadoun lied on government forms when he denied he was a member. The judge also indicated there was evidence Sadoun contributed to the Richardson-based Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development, which was the largest Islamic charity in the United States. Prosecutors convicted the group of funneling money to terrorist groups and several of its leaders were sent to prison. In the case, CAIR was named an unindicted co-conspirator.” Read more... - - - - Federal judge rules against (CAIR) By Drew Zahn A federal judge has dismissed an attempt by the Council on American-Islamic Relations to re-file a lawsuit against Air Force special agent P. David Gaubatz and his son Chris, the father-and-son team that investigated and exposed the group's terrorist ties. Defense lawyers are hailing the decision as a victory over CAIR's alleged plan to "chill" free speech critical of the organization through an avalanche of court cases and legal costs. "We briefed, counter-briefed, we spent thousands of dollars on the case," said Daniel Horowitz, one of the three lawyers for the defense. "Only then did they file this new lawsuit, which would have effectively forced us to start all over." "But the new lawsuit didn't have anything substantively new," Horowitz told WND. "And yet, that's their whole goal. They know they can't win the case, but they can chill the First Amendment by making it so expensive to speak against them that no one can challenge Saudi-funded CAIR. In the end, they can just keep getting more and more money from overseas and burn out opposition with lawsuits." Grand Jury's CAIR Probe Points to Hamas www.investigativeproject.org A grand jury in Washington issued a subpoena in November for records obtained by the authors of Muslim Mafia: Inside the Secret Underworld That's Conspiring to Islamize America. CAIR is suing the authors, claiming their internal records were stolen after they were infiltrated by an intern who posed as a Muslim convert. Industrious Politico reporter Josh Gerstein discovered the investigation's focus in an otherwise routine filing in the civil suit. More than 40 pages into the filing was a letter from a National Security Section attorney in the U.S. Attorney's Office in Washington. A letter attached to the filing, signed by Lynn Haaland, assistant U.S. attorney for the National Security Section in Washington, referenced CAIR's possible violations of 50 U.S.C. sections 1701-1706, which are part of the International Emergency Economic Powers Act. Under the 1977 act, which empowers presidents to deal with extraordinary threats during peacetime, President George W. Bush signed an executive order 12 days after the 9/11 attacks that blocked property and barred transactions with anyone who commits, threatens to commit or supports terrorism. Washington-based CAIR, which receives revenue from Saudi Arabia and other Arab states, is required by federal law to file its tax returns annually with the IRS to maintain its tax-exempt status. However, it still has not filed its 2007 returns, according to the IRS. Its 2008 tax filing is also late. Registered as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, CAIR must make its finances public each year by filing IRS Form 990. Read More... WorldNetDaily Battles CAIR By Brigitte Gabriel 01/22/10 | 01:31 PM EDT Since the release of the blockbuster book Muslim Mafia last fall, CAIR (the Council on American-Islamic Relations) has dragged the book’s publisher, WorldNetDaily, into a legal battle that reveals just how desperate CAIR is to sweep its dirt under the rug. The good news is that WorldNetDaily recently won an important judicial decision in this legal battle. What’s more, according to a WND story today, CAIR’s latest legal brief in effect concedes it filed its lawsuit under a false name! Read more! - - - -
